The UK government recently announced their plans to introduce a boiler scrappage incentive, the rebate applies to the most inefficient boilers rated 'G' or worse. The scheme is due to be launched in early 2010 and aims to help up to 125,000 households upgrade a working boiler with a more energy efficient model.

Ratings are based on the SEDBUK Rating which is an indicator of its efficiency when used within an average domestic household, it's a great benchmark for comparing new boilers and also assessing whether your current boiler would be better off being replaced due to low efficiencies.
